The founder of the business, Robert Whitehead, spent many years working as a solicitor in private practice, based between Leeds, Liverpool and London. His work involved advising international insurers, Lloyd's syndicates, MGAs, brokers and businesses of all sizes in connection with disputes and claims, particularly in respect of the development of land.
Through his work, Robert developed a keen interest in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and became adept at identifying opportunities to bring businesses together, sometimes as a solution to a breakdown of the previous relationship between them.
Robert formed WHD Broking in 2019 to provide various support services to a large corporate group and to find ways to develop new opportunities for his many contacts across the legal, insurance and finance sectors.
